With a set-off in Port Reading Yard complete, Conrail JR-2 proceeds south down the Chemical Coast. An all-day snow storm which has covered the rails ahead of JR-2 is tapering off, but the heavy, wet snow is sticking to everything, including the locomotives. A pair of former Erie Lackawanna SD45-2s (NS 1701 & 1705) lead the train, trailed by a CSX GP38-2 that is headed for Browns Yard for local work.
