Remarks & Notes
After departing Jasper, westbound VIA Train 3 is nearing the Alberta / British Columbia border in a downpour on July 29, 1981. An office car is first behind the EMD's. The lead F carries the first of Canada's edict for trains to have ditch lights, an idea that was subsequently adopted in USA.
