Remarks & Notes
A steam powered work train replaces ties on the deck of the Provo River bridge in Charleston. The locomotive is a former Yosemite Lumber Company 3-truck Shay No. 4 (blt. by Lima, July 1920) while the crane is a steam powered derrick charged with performing the heavy lifting. This event was not a staged 'photo freight' but a real work train working along the line.
