Red gold
Labeled as calcine or iron oxide, this byproduct from the heydays of smelting at Copperhill, Tennessee has now found new way to get to metal producers overseas; that is by using the railroad of course. This ‘rust’ has been moved out of the lower Tennessee region by truck for many years but now has begun to be moved by rail for coastal ports so it can be shipped to China for use in their metal making process.
