A southbound coal train behind four class 18E's is crossing the Suikerbosrant (sugar bush ridge) river, between Spruytsrus and Fortuna on the Natal main line. At this point the river forms the provincial boundary between Gauteng and Mpumalanga - the locomotives have crossed into Mpumalanga, while the rest of the train is still in Gauteng. The retaining wall below the locomotives is part of the old track alignment, with a bridge abutment visible across the river, to the right of the power pylon.
