| Electric railcar Xe 4/4 # 23 201 of the infrastructure (maintenance-of-way) (built in 1972 as ABe 4/4 # 48) with a flat car on the way from Ospizio Bernina to Alp Grüm near "Scala" with Piz Sena (3075 m) on the left and Sassalb (2861 m) on the right. At this point in the construction of the railway a sweeping curve had been built with the aim to show travelers a spectacular first view into the Poschiavo valley. Due to major problems with snowdrifts, the line was stretched later and the curve suspended. |
