| For two months during the summer of 2004, it was a throwback to the 80s and it reminded me of my childhood which consisted of many a Sunday afternoons spent here with my father. A caboose as they used to be called was used for this short time as a soon to be retired conductor refused to ride a covered hopper on a shove north of town. To keep him happy they found a "Shoving Platform" for the gentleman. Soon after the Old Man's retirement date, the cab was literally shoved off the end of track and then soon after it disappeared as did the rest of this scene over the next couple of years. No more B Boats, and no more cabs. |
