Remarks & Notes |
A local freight from Kroonstad to Sasolburg is entering one of the passing loops at Heuningspruit, threading its way between the still operational semaphore signals for southbound trains. The freight was being looped to make way for Shosholoza Meyl's "Algoa" passenger train from Port Elizabeth to Johannesburg, which was following close behind. The class 34 in the red Transnet Freight Rail livery, was substituting for the usual pair of class 6E1 electrics. |
