Back on home rails the PRR heritage engine pulls a load of coal east to Maryland destined for the C.P. Crane power station as snow flurries appear on the first day of Spring.
This is where Butler Junction used to be on the Conemaugh Line. Back in the old days iron ore was exchanged with the Bessemer railroad in Butler for sintering at the USS Steel plant in Saxonburg before heading down to the mills along the Mon river via the Bessemer and Union RR's |
