The southbound has reached the top of Duanesburg Hill as it enters the town of Delanson, NY. To the right is the Altamont Branch, the ex-Delaware & Hudson mainline to Albany. Today, a surprise in the form of a Norfolk Southern unit (presumably broken) rests on the SMS-owned branchline.
