| A grandmother and her grandchildren stop to watch as NS ES44AC #8099--the Southern heritage unit--leads ST train 22K out of Mechanicville, NY and past XO Tower. XO Tower was once responsible for controlling movements in and out of the original Mechanicville Yard. In recent years, the City of Mechanicville refurbished the tower as a potential tourist center, however it remains to be opened to the public. The track in the foreground is Canadian Pacific's ex-D&H Colonie Subdivision to Albany. |
