Union Pacific "Big Boy" 4014 is finally heading home to Cheyenne, Wyoming, for restoration to operable condition. Train PWCYR2 28 (Passenger, West Colton Yard CA to Yermo CA) departed West Colton Yard in Bloomington, California, a little over an hour late, but the train is making up time as it crosses Cajon Pass. Rounding the big curve at Summit is UP SD70M 4014, 4-8-8-4 4014, SD70M 4884, three passenger cars, two box cars and seven flat cars (6 loads, 6 empties, 694 tons and 820 feet). The train will spend the night in Yermo, in California's Mojave Desert, and the next day it will head to Las Vegas, Nevada, where it will be on display on April 30th. Then it is on to Salt Lake City and Cheyenne.
