PAL 2012, painted for the UK Wildcats, poses in front of the yard office at Louisville on a perfect May afternoon. The special scheme commemorates the University of Kentucky Wildcats' 2012 victory as the NCAA Men's Basketball National Champions. Built August 1997 as CSXT 705, the unit would later become CSXT 4505 and eventually PAL 4505 when it was acquired by P&L Transportation in early 2013. Finally, the unit emerged from VMV as PAL 2012 during early March 2014.
