| An empty hopper train idles in front of the old Thurmond depot and semaphore while waiting for a work train to clear up. The train was stopped a few miles back after a defect detector caught the last axle on the 150 car train. Thankfully, fellow RP contributor Chip Allen and I were able to find the conductor and he drove him to the rear and back to the head end, saving the train nearly an hour of holding up the single track. |
