Remarks & Notes |
For the celebration of 125 years Railway in Graubünden, the RhB organized a double traction steam train with her two "Consolidations" G 4/5 # 107 "Albula" and # 108 "Engadina" from Landquart via Chur-Thusis-Tiefencastel and through the numerous spiral tunnels of the Albula line to Samedan in the Engadin and all the way back, without any electric or diesel backup. The 157 meter long and 87 meter high Solis viaduct from 1903 with a main span of 42 meter was long regarded as the highest bridge of the RhB, now we know that the Wiesner viaduct between Davos and Filisur is very slightly higher. |
