The odd couple. CN 2152 and CN 4706 are seen here on the head of CN 527 which is about to stop near Taschereau Yard to let CN 401 (whose headlight is very barely visible in the extreme distance) enter the yard first. These engines provide quite a contrast - CN 2152 is six-axle, GE and American built and a widecab, and ex-Santa Fe, whereas CN 4706 is 4-axle, GMD and Canadian built and was originally built for CN. On a scorching Canada day, the crew surely appreciates having CN 2152 leading, as it is air conditioned!
