BNSF 3029, a GP40E, rebuilt from CBQ GP40 No. 179 switches cement cars in downtown Wenatchee about 9 AM while a work train pulls out of West Yard onto Main 2. It will back its 9 ballast loads and two cabooses west about 40 miles to Merritt, WA where it will work the mainline. The work train consist is headed by GP39M 2826, former CBQ GP30 No. 955, GP40M BNSF 3015, former CBQ 189, and BNSF GP39E 2900, former SLSF GP35 No. 722.
