“Got Mail?” This was a healthy mail train, No. 8, on Santa Fe’s transcontinental mainline at Ottawa, Kansas on May 1, 1965. The REA Express reefers on the head end were loaded with California strawberries, and Santa Fe was doing its best to rush them to market.
