It’s 6:39 a.m. on the morning of July 26, 2014, as a Union Pacific inspection train exits a cut just west of Rocky, Colorado. The three-car train includes power car UPP 207, sleeper “Portola” UPP 1610 and theater car “Fox River” UPP 420, and is dwarfed by the Front Range scenery between Rocky and Eisele. Storms are moving in early this morning and the golden sunlight will be history by the time the train reaches the west end of Eisele siding, seen on the hillside above.
For the train and storm chaser. Trains with thunderstorms, dark clouds, rain, lightning, hurricanes - tropical storms, funnel clouds, storm light, rainbows, and snow storms.
