Amtrak No. 8, the eastbound Empire Builder crosses Gaynor trestle over Nason Creek at MP 1696 near Berne, WA. This train had two units, a deadhead Superliner car and four private cars on the rear.
This train, which runs between Chicago and Seattle and Portland, takes its name from James J. Hill, who founded the Great Northern Railroad and extended it from Minnesota to the Pacific Coast.
