| After enjoying a nice meal at Ole's Big Game Bar & Grill in Paxton, we started to make our way back to North Platte. By Sutherland we were hearing reports of tennis ball sized hail and it was obvious we were going to run right into the storm. A little backtracking along US 30 brought us into brilliant sunshine. UP's Sidney Subdivision provided some trains at just the right time. Here, a westbound intermodal train flies out of the dark storm and on toward Cheyenne. |
