Canadian Pacific train H54, otherwise known as the Trail Turn, returns back to Thief River Falls after successfully exchanging empties for loaded gravel hoppers at the Strata Corporation pit in Trail, Minnesota. This train's journey originated here in Thief River Falls, then took the Detroit Lakes subdivision to Plummer where it takes the switch over to the old Soo Line Plummer Line that once stretched all the way to Moose Lake, but currently terminated in Gully. After roughly 20 miles on the 10mph Plummer Line, or Bemidji subdivision, the train comes to Trail and the location of the Strata Corporation's gravel quarry. From start to finish the job takes roughly six hours.
