The south freight is a couple of miles out of Wasilla on a beautiful morning. During this time frame 2008 the Alaska Railroad ran two freights each direction 4 days a week and one in each direction the other three. Compared to now when service is only one train a day in each direction and only five days a week. It seems the railroad business boom hasn't reached Alaska.
Coal and steel don't go bad. This album features long, slow, heavy freight trains; drag freights, slop freights, dead freights, etc. Trains with lots of power, and lots of different cargo slogging along behind.
