Remarks & Notes

A peek into the bowels of one of the busiest commuter tunnels in the world, this one leading into New York's Pennsylvania Station. In the event of an emergency, the communication box to the right is capable of cutting third rail energy and communicating with dispatchers to safely handle an emergency situation. Railroad crews are well trained as to their locations and usage.
