| A long view of the CN yard at Proctor, MN. Engine facility is on the middle left and the car repair shop is middle right.
What was once strictly an ore staging yard for the mines of northern Minnesota has now become a freight sorting yard as well as can be seen on the middle right. DMIR 215 prepares to begin it's afternoon switching duties of freight cars towards the north end of the yard. The City of Proctor lies at the top or southern end of the yard. The Richard Bong bridge linking Duluth, MN and Superior Wisconsin is located in the upper left. That's Wisconsin across the St. Louis river. |
