| Looking south east from above the Laurentian Divide at Arcelor Mittal’s Minorca Mine processing plant. Right side is the rail line into the facility. Upper right is the tailings pond, upper center is the haul road from the mine which is near Biwabik/ McKinley ( where those faint water towers are and about 10 miles away). A limestone train is in the process of delivering said product and a few bentonite hoppers are visible as well. The plant is humming along making pellets on this Saturday afternoon. |
