After chasing the 4302 East all morning there was a dearth of westbound traffic as now preferred with the inexorable movement of the sun. I called the Snow Slip Inn and asked them to keep the bacon warm until I arrived, wolfed down a great breakfast, then positioned myself along the Hi Line to see what I could see. Time passed and eventually a westbound showed far across the valley as it threaded its way down the mountain. Here, BNSF 7339 and 1025 lean into the curve between Sheds 8 and 7 at Windy Point with a westbound oil train. Behind the train's tail, stretched out along the distant slope, are two Dash 9's in distributed power mode.
