| BNSF has been struggling to move stockpiled ore from mines on Minnesota's Mesabi Iron Range and this train is an effort to help speed up the movement of cars to Kelly Lake. The older hoppers on the head end contain new ties for the Hibtac Sub while other hoppers on the rear of this train are for loading of pellet fines and chips at Keewatin Taconite. Included in the middle are covered hoppers of bentonite clay for use in the pellet process. |
