Gavilon Fertilizer in Sauget, Illinois, switches their cars with a 1951-built SW9. Originally owned by Lehigh Valley (as their number 283), this switcher became part of the large Conrail roster when that railroad was created in 1976 from a conglomeration of other northeastern railroads. CR 8934 eventually found its way to Gavilon, where it retains the CR paint - for the most part.
Photographs where trains and people mix, weather it's street running, plant switching or carrying a unit grain train out of an elevator, it will be put here.
