The Ktt
The Kowloon Through Train from Hong Kong to Guangzhou arrives at its destination after an approximately two hour run from Hung Hom Station. The train is heading away from the camera in this view, with another Lok 2000 unit leading on the opposite end. This unique consist operates three round trips per day and provides a one-seat ride between the two points, offering convenience over speed. Frequent high-speed trains currently run only to the Hong Kong border at Shenzhen, with a change to slower MTR EMUs required after crossing the border on foot. This should be changing in the near future once the new direct high-speed line is completed. |
