Remarks & Notes |
Day 3 of off loading. Class 37 Diesels (blue Spoornet livery), 37-066 & 37-069, have just coupled up to ex Queensland Railway 2250 Class, No. 2273, to move her down to a holding yard at the end of the pier. Transnet Freight Rail imported 34 ex Queensland Railway locomotives. They arrived in Durban on the BBC Ohio. It is believed that 20 of the locomotives will be refurbished by Transnet Engineering. These 20 will then be marketed to other African countries. The remaining 14 will be retained by TFR and deployed to work on the line between Bethlehem and Kroonstad. |
