In the very last sunrays of a beautiful autumn day, two aged electro locomotives from the pioneering days of electrification are pulling train 30034 from St-Maurice to Puidoux-Chexbres up the 3.7 % grade through the vineyards above Lake Geneva (Lac de Genève). Leading is Ae 3/6 III # 10264, built by SLM and SAAS in 1926 with a Westinghouse drive under licence, and based in St-Maurice nowadays. Second is Be 4/6 # 12320, built in 1921 by SLM and BBC with a rod drive, based in Winterthur.
