On my first full day of being able to drive on my own, I decided to go to Copetown. Good choice. 435 had been cleared out of Aldershot an hour before, however, only now has it neared the summit of Copetown Hill. This lashup is pure EMD, featuring CN 5503, 5477, 5546, 4729. With about 150 cars, all four are going all out and barely hanging on, doing a steady 10mph. The sound was unmistakable, and a treat to say the least. The lead unit, 5503 was the loudest of them all, and shows signs of maintenance with door replacements from another CN locomotive, as seen on the exposed side. One of 4 SD50AF's in service, it is technically an SD60F, but it's build classification says different, as well as the distinctive nose that reminisces the long gone SD50F's. Out of the trailing two units that likely could have led, the pick couldn't have been better.
