Ab 608 was built by NZR Addington (Christchurch) in 1915 and named "Passchendaele" in 1925 as a War Memorial for over 400 railwaymen who perished in WW1. It is now owned by NZ Railway & Locomotive Society who restored it for the centenary. The public response during the Heartland Tour of North Island was fantastic and the train is seen on photo run by on the 2% Opapa bank bound for Feilding Steam Rail depot.
