Dubbed the "Hurricane Sandy Clean-Out Train" SU-99 makes a very rare Northbound run on a Sunday to get most of the outbound freight in New Jersey out and to higher ground in Binghamton, NY a day early. The crew operated on a very quick turn as the counter-part (SU-100) had got into Ridgefield Park early Sunday morning. In this scene we see one of the older workhorses of the railroad, an SD40T-2 leading three of the newer SD60's up the grade at Smoke Rise. As if the angle wasn't enough to depict how steep this grade is, these locomotives are fully nothced out with sanders at full tilt, barely keeping the train moving as they begin their assault of the mountain.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
