In 1971 unit was rebuilt as a GP10 and became Illinois Central Gulf #8148. Unit later became MidSouth Rail Corporation (MSRC) #1065, Quest Communications Corporation (SPCX) #707, Ohio Central Railroad (OHCR) #707 and finally Everett Railroad Company (EV) #707
