Remarks & Notes |
Westbound coal train 769 has exited Parkgate Tunnel as DPU CN 2825 assists on its rear. The head of the train is about to enter a double track stretch at Parkgate as the train heads west along the Athabasca River to Jasper for a crew change. Note the sheep guard just ahead of the DPU. It's purpose is to keep sheep out of the tunnel. It does not work, and trains often sound their horns and roll quite slowly through the tunnel to prevent injury to the animals. |
