Behind a brand-new CSR-built SDD7 locomotive and composed of a solid trainset of Chinese-built coaches, inbound Linea San Martin train 3390 accelerates out of the station at Palermo towards its final stop at Retiro's San Martin terminal. My timing was a little unfortunate, as Buenos Aires' San Martin line was the first to be completely re-equipped with Chinese-built rolling stock and I missed by a matter of weeks the last Alco RSD16s operating in commuter service.
And yes, that is a genuine GRS-built searchlight! Several lines use them to protect train movements.
