On the morning of November 14, 2005, two QJ steam locomotives lead a long westbound freight train around the sweeping curve just east of Lindong on the Jitong Railway. On the previous day, nine of the eleven daylight trains over the railroad had been steam-powered, and this was the second of two that morning. The diesels were coming fast, though, and within less than a month, steam operations had ended.
