Turning at Yacolt. Engineer Luke Johnson brings Crossett Western Co. #10 around the south leg of the Yacolt Wye, as he turns his short freight for an evening photo session with Lerro Productions.
Currently the only steam power on the Chelatchie Prairie Railroad, #10 runs on selected weekends during the summer and fall tourist seasons. When running with the passenger consist, the locomotive typically faces north and runs in reverse, shoving the train south on the outbound run. It returns to the depot in Yacolt running forward northbound. Although the engine is not typically turned during tourist operations, the railroad does have this wye available, which allows it to face in either direction for special events, such as this photo charter.
