Remarks & Notes
A daylight H70 is rolling east down track 1 as it passes WC Tower. Built in 1886 by the Erie Railroad, Waldwick Tower (call letters "WC") has seen almost everything Northern-New Jersey railroad has had to offer. From steam-hauled Erie freight and passenger trains, to NJT's ALP45DPs. After going through a total restoration only a few years ago, the tower at WC now stands as yet another symbol of American railroading, and the changes it's seen. WC tower once controlled a 4-track mainline, a complete interlocking, and all movements into and out of Waldwick Yard. Today, all movements on the slightly-downgraded main are controlled by the Mainline dispatcher, located in NJT's ROC in the Meadowlands.
