Like many railfan trips, this day's forecast was "Sunny." While it did wind up that way later, the first train of the morning was found in foggy conditions brought on with cold fall air in a valley. This is Watco's version of the A&O, which came and went in barely a year. I was attracted to it because of the SD50s, which while a personal favorite, were by all crew accounts as total junk. This is my first shot ever of this railroad, and one of a handful in my collection. While I got sunny shots later, the moodiness of this one has always made it one of my favorites (and a shot which would not have worked well were the sun out).
