Remarks & Notes

UP's Directors' Special from Seattle heads towards Portland and points east at Castle Rock, Washington on BN's double track mainline. UP exercises trackage rights on this former NP route, which was NP's first entry to the Puget Sound region prior to building their Stampede Pass line. To this day, Stampede clearance restrictions do not permit auto racks or double stack cars to use that route.
