With the end in sight as far as service to Verso in Bucksport, Maine was concerned, Pan Am's BK-3(BKNM) had its final run of revenue loads heading for Northern Maine Junction on December 7, 2014. Within a week, all remaining cars had been removed from the mill complex, and the final shift of nearly 570 workers would occur on the Wednesday the 17th. After nine decades of service, the mill has been sold to a scrap dealer out of Canada. With the power plant sections retaining 50-60 workers, the fate of the actual paper buildings and the machinery they hold is unknown for the immediate future.
This album seeks to portray classic New England and Upstate New York imagery. It showcases the most perfect examples of regional identity, with special attention to structures and landscape.
