Remarks & Notes

Milwaukee Extra 24 West tip toes across the Hall Creek trestle on the west slope of Snoqualmie Pass with a quartet of SD40-2s. Hints of electrification remain over the ballast deck bridge, and deferred maintenance is showing. Those catenary towers swayed while the train crossed the trestle. To get this photo, friend Tim Repp and I climbed through rotting grain on embankment at the opposite end of the bridge, then walked across the trestle. The grain was due to a derailment just east of the bridge. Now days this is a public hiking trail.
