Remarks & Notes |
The "Red Mamba" is the nickname given to the train of Butanol tankers that runs from the Sasol Solvents plant in Sasolburg and the name is even stencilled on the tanker wagons used on this service. The shadows are rapidly lengthening late on a winter afternoon, as one of these trains crosses an unnamed tributary of the Harte River at the bottom of Majuba Pass, on its way to Durban with the usual power of three 18E's up front. |
