A lone bird watches from above as a southbound container train heading to Durban crosses the Suikerbosrant (sugar bush ridge) river, between Spruytsrus and Fortuna, behind a trio of first series 18E's wearing the Spoornet blue livery. At this point the river forms the provincial boundary between Gauteng and Mpumalanga - the locomotives have crossed into Mpumalanga, while the rest of the train is still in Gauteng. The retaining wall below the locomotives is part of the old track alignment, with a bridge abutment visible across the river, to the right of the power pylon.
