The nose of GTEL 59 points westward toward Sherman Hill and Lzramie on July 26, 1959, as the big turbine thunders under the C&S overpass at the west end of Cheyenne with an extra. Over on Highway 225, motorists with their windows down this sultry summer afternoon are catching the full jet roar that has restricted these engines to less populous regions along the UP.
