42211 (422 Class Clyde/EMD J26C - Standard Gauge), DD2359 (rebuilt from 2100 Class Clyde/EMD GL26C), DAZ 1905 (DA Class Clyde/EMD G26C) and AB 1501 (AB Class Clyde/EMD G22C), are part of a total of 23 locomotives of various Class / Types (all diesel), that arrived in Durban, South Africa, from Fremantle in Western Australia aboard the “Fairlift” on the 26th January 2015. With Apex Industrial (PTY) LTD as agents, exactly who they are all for in South Africa is still not one hundred percent confirmed, except for the five 2100 Class Clyde/EMD GL26C (numbered DD2355-2359), that are reportedly for Rovos Rail (second from left). All 23 locomotives are currently staged in the Manganese Yard at Maydon Wharf in Durban at the moment.
