Norfolk Southern train E49 crosses the mile-long Neuse River bridge into Bridgeton, North Carolina, from New Bern, on its way towards Chocowinity. E49 is a daily freight operating into the far eastern reaches of the Piedmont Division along the Raleigh East District. The train originated the previous day in Linwood, NC, as train number 350.
